Trials for the selection of Sindh’s boys’ and girls’ hockey teams for the Inter-Provincial Quaid-e-Azam Games 2024 will be held today, Sunday, November 10, at 11 a.m. at the KHA Complex in Karachi. The Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games will take place in Islamabad from December 13 to 18, 2024.
Following instructions from Sindh’s Secretary of Sports and Youth Affairs, Mr. Abdul Aleem Lashari, Sindh Hockey Association Secretary Akbar Ali Qaimkhani announced the selection committee. The committee includes Olympian Hanif Khan (Karachi) as Chairman, with members Olympian Nasir Ali (Karachi), District Sports Officers Muhammad Ismail and Faiza Khan, and others from various districts like Sukkur, Nawabshah, and Hyderabad.
Arif Mahmood (Sukkur) has been appointed as the coordinator for the boys’ trials, while Batool Kazim will coordinate the girls’ trials. Technical officials, including Muzzammil Hussain, Muhammad Faizan Moin Alam, Nadeem Ahmed, and Ausaf Ahmed, will serve as judges, and Rizwan Khan, Asghar Ali, Faisal Ismail, and Kashmala Batool will officiate as umpires.
Akbar Ali Qaimkhani has directed all hockey players from Sindh under the age of 22 to report on time at the KHA Sports Complex, University Road, near NIPA Chowrangi, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.
