Former Indian cricketer and commentator Sunil Gavaskar became upset after seeing the words “Bharat Army” written on Indian flags during the Perth Test against Australia.
He stated that any writing on the flag was against the rules and that these fans couldn’t be Indian. While commentating, Gavaskar said he didn’t believe these fans were truly Indian and was uncertain how many of them even had an Indian passport.
He suggested that they might have forgotten the value and importance of the flag. Gavaskar added that the letters on the flags should be removed by the Bharat Army.
