The third and final ODI of the three-match series between Sri Lanka and New Zealand will be played tomorrow (Tuesday) at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. The home team, Sri Lanka, has already secured a decisive 2-0 lead in the series.
Sri Lanka defeated New Zealand by 45 runs in the first ODI and by 3 wickets in the second. Previously, the two teams competed in a two-match T20 series, which concluded in a 1-1 tie. Sri Lanka won the first T20 by 4 wickets, while New Zealand made a comeback in the second T20, winning by 5 runs to level the series.
The New Zealand men’s cricket team is currently touring Sri Lanka, where they are playing a three-match ODI series in addition to the two T20 games. The Islanders are being led by Charith Asalanka in the ODI series, while Mitchell Santner is captaining the New Zealand side.
The series’ final ODI will take place on November 19 at Pallekele, with all three matches scheduled as day-night games under floodlights.
