The Pakistan all-rounder also commented on the team’s recent tour of New Zealand, acknowledging that it didn’t go as planned.
“That series wasn’t great for us, but we believe in standing by our players during tough times. When players are backed, they eventually deliver,” said Shadab, emphasizing the importance of a supportive environment in building player confidence.

Looking at the bigger picture, Shadab admitted that 2024-25 hasn’t been a great year for the national team overall.
“It’s been a challenging season for Pakistan cricket, but we hope the players can rediscover their form and bounce back stronger,” he added.

Shadab had high praise for Sahibzada Farhan, who has been in stunning form recently, especially in T20 cricket.
