The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest ODI player rankings, bringing good news for Pakistan as skipper Mohammad Rizwan and fast bowler Shaheen Afridi have both improved their positions.
Rizwan Moves Up in Batting Rankings
Pakistan’s ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan has climbed from 27th to 25th place, earning 592 rating points. His consistent performances have given Pakistan stability in the middle order.
Meanwhile, opener Fakhar Zaman remains steady at 28th position with 584 points, while Agha Salman and Imam-ul-Haq continue to hold their places at 38th and 40th, respectively.
Youngster Saim Ayub has also made his mark, reaching 55th place with 503 points, while Abdullah Shafique slipped one spot to 99th with 419 points.
Babar Azam Holds Strong in Top 3
Former captain Babar Azam remains among the world’s best ODI batters, ranking third with 739 points.
Leading the ODI batting charts, India’s Shubman Gill holds the No. 1 spot with 784 points, followed by Rohit Sharma in second place with 756 points.
Shaheen Afridi Breaks Into Top 15 Bowlers
In the latest bowling rankings, Pakistan’s left-arm quick Shaheen Afridi climbed to joint 13th, sharing the spot with India’s Mohammed Siraj on 593 points. His sharp new-ball spells and death-over skills have made him Pakistan’s spearhead.

- Abrar Ahmed at 39th
- Naseem Shah is rising to 45th with 491 points

South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj holds the No. 1 position in the ODI bowling rankings, with Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana in second and India’s Kuldeep Yadav in third.
