The ongoing smog in Lahore has impacted the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2024-25 matches. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to move the scheduled games from Lahore to different cities. The smog has blanketed several areas across Punjab, including Lahore, making it difficult to continue outdoor activities.
PCB has relocated Group C matches originally set for Lahore, Multan, and Sheikhupura to Haripur, Swabi, and Mirpur in Azad Kashmir. PCB officials said that the decision to shift the matches was made with players’ health in mind. If the smog situation improves, the board might consider returning the matches to Punjab.
The Punjab government has already decided to halt outdoor sports due to smog, and the PCB has informed teams of the revised schedule. Matches scheduled in Lahore, Multan, and Sheikhupura have now been moved to other cities.
