The 10th edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL 10) is all set to begin on Friday, April 11, 2025, with an exciting opening match between defending champions Islamabad United and two-time winners Lahore Qalandars. The match will take place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, marking the start of an exhilarating cricket season for fans across the globe.
Tournament Format and Match Schedule
PSL 10 will feature six teams competing in a total of 34 matches from April 11 to May 18. The tournament will be played across four major venues in Pakistan:
Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium (13 matches, including two eliminators and the grand final)
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium (11 matches, including the first qualifier on May 13)
Karachi’s National Bank Stadium (5 matches)
Multan Cricket Stadium (5 matches)
Additionally, three double-header days have been scheduled, with two matches set to be played on weekends and a national holiday, May 1 (Labour Day).
Special Exhibition Match in Peshawar
Ahead of the official tournament, an exhibition match will be held in Peshawar on April 8. The participating teams will be confirmed closer to the date. This match is part of PSL’s commitment to bringing top-tier cricket to Peshawar, a city known for its passionate cricket fans.
Team-Specific Fixtures
Karachi Kings, the PSL 5 champions, will start their campaign on April 12 against last season’s runners-up, Multan Sultans, at National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
Multan Sultans, winners of PSL 6, will play their first home game against Lahore Qalandars on April 22.
Lahore Qalandars will make their home debut at the newly renovated Gaddafi Stadium on April 24, facing Peshawar Zalmi.
Peshawar Zalmi, PSL 2017 champions, will play five matches in Rawalpindi.
Quetta Gladiators, champions of PSL 4, will play five matches at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Final to be Played at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
The highly anticipated PSL 10 final will take place at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on May 18, 2025. The stadium will also host the two eliminator matches, making Lahore a key battleground for the tournament’s concluding phase.
