The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially launched a Talent Hunt Program aimed at discovering and nurturing young cricketing talent from schools and colleges across the country.
According to PCB officials, registrations for the program will begin next month, providing a golden opportunity for aspiring cricketers to showcase their skills.
Expert Coaching & Development
Amir Mir, advisor to the PCB Chairman, stated that professional trainers and cricket experts from PCB will mentor and train selected players, helping them refine their skills.
COO Sameer Ahmed emphasized that Mohsin Naqvi will provide all necessary resources for the program. He further added that the talent hunt tournament will take place from September to November, giving young players a platform to shine.
Focus on Grassroots Cricket
Highlighting the importance of grassroots cricket, PCB CEO Sameer Ahmed stressed that Pakistan needs to strengthen its cricketing foundation by identifying and nurturing young talent. Similarly, Junaid Zia noted that developing players at the school level is crucial for the future of Pakistan cricket.
The upcoming trials will be held for school and college students, focusing on batting, bowling, and fielding. The best-performing players will receive professional training, ensuring they are well-prepared to contribute to Pakistan’s domestic and international cricket.
With this initiative, PCB aims to unearth the next generation of cricketing stars who will proudly represent Pakistan on the global stage.
