Pakistan has been awarded hosting rights to a major global squash tournament. The World Squash Federation (WSF) has confirmed that the first-ever Under-23 World Squash Championship will be held in Karachi from April 6 to April 10.
Prize Money and Competition Format
The championship will feature a prize pool of $600,000, attracting top squash players from around the world. Both Men’s and Women’s categories will be part of the tournament, with 32 players competing in each division. The winners of the tournament will gain direct qualification for the prestigious PSA World Championship.
Tournament Leadership and Organization
Legendary squash player and former world champion Qamar Zaman has been appointed as the tournament director, ensuring the smooth execution of the event. This historic championship is expected to boost Pakistan’s reputation as a leading squash destination and provide a platform for young talent to showcase their skills on the international stage.
