Pakistan Cricket Unstoppable Despite India: Kamran Akmal

Former Pakistan Test cricketer Kamran Akmal has said that Pakistan’s cricket will not stop just because India refuses to play. In a conversation with a private TV channel, the former wicketkeeper-batter mentioned that India had hoped to completely shut down cricket in Pakistan. However, even during the 11 years when no international matches were held in the country, cricket in Pakistan did not come to an end.

Kamran Akmal stated that the ICC Champions Trophy is scheduled to be held in Pakistan, which is why India is creating issues. He emphasized that sports always promote peace and should not face obstacles. He further said that the people of Kashmir also have the right to witness the Champions Trophy, and if India does not want to come to Pakistan for the tournament, then so be it.

Expressing his views, Kamran Akmal pointed out that if either India or Pakistan refuses to play, it will damage the reputation of the ICC. He also shared his thoughts on Pakistan’s performance, saying he expected the national team to win against Australia in the T20 series. However, he noted that Pakistan’s recurring issue is their tendency to focus only on the games they win, rather than improving their overall performance.
