The National Junior Girls Netball Championship 2025, organized by the Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF), will begin on October 30 at The City School PAF Chapter, Karachi. Preparations are in full swing as teams from schools and colleges across the country get ready to compete for top honors.
According to PNF Secretary General Muhammad Riaz, the event aims to promote women’s participation in sports and identify new talent for the national team. The championship will continue until November 1, providing young athletes a platform to showcase their skills and teamwork.
Registration and Pre-Championship Details
Teams interested in participating must complete their registration by October 20. A manager’s meeting will take place on October 29, during which the tournament draws will be announced and the competition rules will be explained in detail.
Riaz emphasized that the federation is ensuring all arrangements meet professional standards, with a focus on fair play, player safety, and smooth event management.
Rewards and Recognition for Winning Teams
At the conclusion of the championship, winning teams will receive trophies, medals, and special awards for their outstanding performances. The event is expected to attract strong competition, as many institutions are fielding some of their most promising young players.
Pathway to the National Junior Team
Muhammad Riaz also confirmed that top-performing players from the championship will be selected for the Pakistan National Junior Girls Netball Team. These selected athletes will attend a specialized training camp designed to provide advanced coaching and modern techniques to prepare them for upcoming international competitions.
He added that the championship serves as a crucial step in the federation’s long-term plan to develop women’s netball at the grassroots level and strengthen Pakistan’s presence in international tournaments.
