Two-time Grand Slam finalist Jasmine Paolini of Italy played brilliantly, beating Slovakia’s Rebecca Sramkova in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1. In the second singles match, Italy’s Lucia Bronzetti also delivered an impressive performance, defeating Slovakia’s Viktoria Hruncakova in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, helping her team secure the title.
The 61st edition of the Billie Jean King Cup took place in an exciting and hard-fought contest at the Martin Carpena Arena in Malaga, Spain.
