Vikrant Gupta revealed that he visited Lahore after 19 years and found the city as welcoming as ever. “The people of Lahore are wonderful. Their love and hospitality have been heartwarming, not just towards me but also towards Indian cricketers,” he said.
Indian Cricketers Have a Huge Fan Following in Pakistan
Gupta emphasized that many Pakistani fans admire Indian cricket stars, particularly Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. “Pakistanis consider Kohli and Rohit as true champions. I wish the Indian team could witness how much they are loved here,” he added.
Regret Over Missed Opportunity
The journalist expressed his disappointment that the Indian team did not travel to Pakistan for the tournament. He believes that every cricketer dreams of playing in different countries, and many Indian players must have envisioned playing in Pakistan while watching matches as children.
