The International Cricket Council (ICC) has reached out to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding the Indian cricket team’s absence from the Champions Trophy. After consulting with the Indian board, the ICC will respond to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The PCB’s questions will be discussed with the Indian board to gather possible answers, and only then can a response be sent to the PCB’s email. The Indian board will provide a written statement, considering all legal aspects, which will help the ICC reply to the PCB.
ICC officials are also consulting with other countries to find a lasting solution to the Pakistan-India dispute. Meanwhile, the PCB has started reaching out to other boards to inform them about the Indian board’s behavior.
