The host team, Pakistan, which was eliminated in the group stage of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, will receive a prize of $140,000. According to the latest announcement from the International Cricket Council (ICC), this amount is allocated for teams that do not advance beyond the group stage.
Total Prize Pool and Rewards for Winning Teams
The ICC has significantly increased the total prize pool for the 2025 edition compared to previous tournaments. The winning team of the Champions Trophy will be awarded a massive $2.24 million (over 620 million Pakistani Rupees), while the runner-up will receive $1.12 million (approximately 311 million Pakistani Rupees).
Semi-Finalists and Group Stage Rewards
The two teams that qualify for the semi-finals but do not advance to the final will each be awarded $560,000 (approximately 155.5 million Pakistani Rupees). In addition to Pakistan, all other teams that fail to progress past the group stage will receive $140,000 (around 40 million Pakistani Rupees).
Additional Match-Based Bonuses
Teams that win individual group-stage matches will receive an additional $34,000 per victory. Meanwhile, the teams finishing in fifth and sixth place in the tournament rankings will receive $350,000.
Participation Fee for All Teams
All eight participating teams in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 are guaranteed a minimum payment of $125,000 simply for competing in the tournament.
Increase in Prize Money Compared to 2017
The ICC has allocated 53% more prize money for the 2025 Champions Trophy compared to the 2017 edition, demonstrating the growing prestige and financial rewards associated with the tournament.
