The teams from England and Slovakia have reached the semifinals of the Billie Jean King Cup while defending champions Canada and the Australian women’s teams were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
The Slovakian women’s team qualified for the semifinals by defeating Australia’s women’s team in the quarterfinals. England, on the other hand, knocked out defending champions Canada, securing their spot in the top four.
The Billie Jean King Cup matches are being held at the Martín Carpena Arena in Málaga, Spain. In the women’s singles quarterfinals, Slovakia faced Australia, and Slovakia showcased excellent performance, easily winning 2-0 to qualify for the semifinals. In another match, England’s women’s team put on a brilliant display, overwhelming Canada’s team in straight sets 2-0, eliminating them from the event and advancing to the semifinals.
In the upcoming semifinals, England will face Slovakia.
