Japan’s star shuttler Aya Ohori has reached the quarterfinals of the BWF Japan Masters Badminton Tournament in the women’s singles competition, thanks to her outstanding performance. The 28-year-old Japanese badminton player defeated her fellow countrywoman Riko Gengi 2-0 in the second round of the women’s singles.

In the second round of the women’s singles, Aya Ohori showed great skill, beating Riko Gengi in straight sets, 21-17 and 21-14. With this victory, Ohori not only knocked Gengi out of the tournament but also secured her place in the quarterfinals.
