Japan’s star shuttler Aya Ohori has reached the quarterfinals of the BWF Japan Masters Badminton Tournament in the women’s singles competition, thanks to her outstanding performance. The 28-year-old Japanese badminton player defeated her fellow countrywoman Riko Gengi 2-0 in the second round of the women’s singles.
The thrilling matches of the BWF Japan Masters are taking place at the Kumamoto Prefectural Gymnasium in Kumamoto, Japan. In the second round of the women’s singles, Aya Ohori showed great skill, beating Riko Gengi in straight sets, 21-17 and 21-14. With this victory, Ohori not only knocked Gengi out of the tournament but also secured her place in the quarterfinals.
