Arshad Nadeem’s 2025 Season: Limited but Impactful
Up to this point in 2025, Arshad Nadeem has only participated in one major competition — the Asian Athletics Championship, which he won and took the gold medal. Despite that, his failure to participate in other ranking events has impacted his overall ranking.
With limited involvement, Arshad’s opportunities to pick up additional ranking points were limited, keeping him from moving further up the table. His performance is still impressive, and with major events on the agenda, the best might still be ahead.
Upcoming Events: An Opportunity for Arshad to Rise
Over the next few months, Arshad is scheduled to compete in two to three additional events as part of his buildup to the World Championship in September. These events are important not only for training but for his ranking as well.
If he does well, there should be a big jump in points — and even a return to the top three.
Neeraj Chopra Claims Top Spot
Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra of India has climbed to the top of the global javelin rankings with 1445 points, overtaking Anderson Peters of Grenada, who now holds the second spot with 1431 points.
Julian Weber from Germany sits in third place with 1407 points, narrowly edging out Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, who is currently ranked fourth.
