The 9th Al Zarooni Students Olympic Games are set to kick off in Karachi from September 16, 2025, under the banner of the Pakistan Students Olympic Association (PSOA). This prestigious multi-sport event aims to promote youth participation in sports across Pakistan and provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent.
Official Opening Ceremony
The grand opening ceremony of the Games will take place on September 19, 2025. It will be inaugurated by Sheikh Ali Zarooni, the head of Buraq Sports (UAE), who has long supported student sports initiatives in Pakistan.
Venues Across Karachi
This year’s competition will be held at three different venues in Karachi to accommodate a wide range of sporting disciplines:
- PSB Coaching Centre, Karachi
- KMC Sports Complex, Kashmir Road, Karachi
- Mini Sports Complex, Nazimabad, Karachi
Each venue has been selected to ensure easy access for participants and spectators while maintaining top-class facilities.
Preparations in Full Swing
According to PSOA President Maqbool Arain, preparations for the mega student sporting event are already underway. Organizers are working to ensure smooth scheduling, athlete participation, and arrangements for the large number of teams expected.
The official draws for the event will be announced on September 11, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the Mini KMC Sports Complex, Karachi.
