Artificial Intelligence (AI) has estimated that Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi could fetch a bid of 150 million Indian Rupees (approximately 500 million Pakistani Rupees) if he were to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
According to an Indian website, when asked to evaluate the current worth of Pakistani cricketers in terms of IPL contracts, the AI program rated Shaheen Afridi the highest. Babar Azam was valued at 120 million Indian Rupees, while Mohammad Rizwan and Haris Rauf were estimated at 100 million each. Shadab Khan received an 80 million valuation, Fakhar Zaman 60 million, and Imam-ul-Haq was valued at 30 million Indian Rupees.
It is worth noting that, except for the IPL’s inaugural season, Pakistani players have yet to participate in the league. In 2008, players like Shahid Afridi, Sohail Tanvir, Salman Butt, Shoaib Akhtar, and Misbah-ul-Haq were part of the first edition. However, after the Mumbai attacks, the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) banned Pakistani players from participating in the IPL.
