PCB Reschedules Two PSL 10 Matches Over Weather, Operations

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially shifted two fixtures of the on-going Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10. While recently making the announcement, the PCB mentioned ease of operation and the current heatwave as central points in their reasons for adjusting the schedule of matches.

May 1 Clash Moved from Multan to Lahore.
Initially scheduled to be held at Multan Cricket Stadium, the May 1 match between Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings has now been shifted to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

New Venue: Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

Time: The match will commence at 3:00 PM (afternoon session).

Original Plan: The match was initially scheduled as a daytime encounter in Multan.

This shift ensures that Lahore will now have a double-header on May 1, giving the fans a thrilling day of continuous cricket action.

Multan Sultans vs Karachi Kings (Afternoon Match)

May 11: Multan to Host Another Important Fixture
The Pakistan Cricket Board has made additional changes to the PSL 10 schedule, including a rescheduling of the highly anticipated clash between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators, in an effort to ensure smoother operations and better playing conditions for both teams.

New Date: May 11

Venue: Multan Cricket Stadium

Original Schedule: This game was previously scheduled for May 10 during the day.

Now, the encounter will be held a day later to provide a good experience for players and fans amidst the scorching heat.

Ticket Policies Updated
Updates on tickets have also been given by the PCB:

May 1 Multan match tickets will be refunded.
Fans in possession of May 1 tickets for Lahore will now get to experience both the games planned (double-header) at Gaddafi Stadium.

Tickets purchased for the May 10 match in Multan will still be valid and can be utilized on May 11 without any problem.

Reason for Rescheduling
The PCB said that the adjustments were done following several rounds of consultation with stakeholders. The main reasons were:

Providing operational convenience for teams, organizers, and venue personnel.

Dealing with issues over the ongoing heatwave prevailing in the region, considering the health and well-being of players and spectators.
