Match Officials Confirmed Ahead of Champions TrophyThe International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the match officials for the upcoming tri-nation series featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa. This series, scheduled ahead of the Champions Trophy, will be played on a single-league basis from February 8 to 14.
Venues for the Tri-Nation SeriesThe matches will be held at two prominent cricket venues in Pakistan—Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Bank Stadium in Karachi. These iconic stadiums will host high-stakes clashes as the three teams prepare for the prestigious ICC event.
Elite Panel Officials AppointedICC has assigned experienced officials for this series. David Boon, a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will serve as the match referee. Meanwhile, two renowned umpires from the ICC Elite Panel, Richard Illingworth and Michael Gough, will officiate the games.
Local Umpires Also IncludedIn addition to the international officials, Pakistan’s own elite umpires will be part of the officiating team. Rashid Riaz, Asif Yaqoob, and Faisal Afridi have been appointed to oversee the matches.
Final Match Officials AnnouncedFor the grand final on February 14, ICC Elite Panel umpire Ahsan Raza from Pakistan will join Richard Illingworth as the on-field umpires, ensuring a fair and smooth conclusion to the tournament.
