Championships to Feature Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Events
Speaking to the media, IPA President Sohaib Hassan confirmed that the association has completed planning for the upcoming tournaments. He revealed that the championships will include three categories: men’s singles, women’s singles, and mixed doubles.
According to Sohaib Hassan, the Islamabad Ranking Men’s Padel Championship will begin on October 25, while the Women’s and Mixed Padel Championship will start on November 1. Both tournaments will run for two days each and are expected to attract top padel players from the region.
Official Approval and Organizational Support
Hassan added that the event has received formal approval from Pakistan Padel Association (PPA) President Muhammad Mateen and CEO Mudassir Arain. Their support reflects the growing interest in developing padel as a recognized and organized sport in Pakistan.
The association aims to use the ranking system to identify and promote top local talent, helping players gain recognition and prepare for future national-level competitions.

At the end of each championship, awards and prizes will be distributed among the winning players. The initiative is part of IPA’s broader vision to motivate young athletes, increase participation in padel, and build a strong competitive structure within Islamabad’s sporting community.
