Pakistan Drop to Fifth in ICC ODI Rankings

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest One Day International (ODI) team rankings, and Pakistan have suffered a setback. In the newly issued rankings, announced on Monday, Pakistan has dropped one spot – falling from fourth to fifth place with 3,465 rating points.

Sri Lanka Overtakes Pakistan

Sri Lanka has overtaken Pakistan in the updated standings, climbing to fourth place with 4,009 points. The rise comes on the back of their recent strong performances, pushing Pakistan further down the table.

Changes in Lower Half of the Table

There have also been movements in the lower half of the rankings. The West Indies have climbed one spot to claim ninth place, while Bangladesh has fallen a position, slipping down to tenth.

Top Three Remain Unchanged

The top three positions remain the same:

  • India remains firmly at the summit of the rankings, holding 4,471 points.
  • New Zealand holds second place with 4,160 points.
  • Australia sits third with 3,473 points.

Other Teams in the Top Ten

South Africa sits in sixth place with 2,775 points, while Afghanistan trails close behind in seventh with 2,279 points. The rankings reflect a competitive race in the middle of the table, with only small margins separating teams from climbing higher.
