Thirteen-year-old Indian cricketer Vibhuv Suryavanshi has become the youngest player to join the Indian Premier League (IPL). According to media reports, the IPL 2025 player drafts were held yesterday in Jeddah, where Indian franchises signed major cricket stars. Among them was the young cricketer, who became a millionaire by being picked for an IPL team.
Vibhuv Suryavanshi has joined the IPL for the first time. Rajasthan Royals, the winners of the first IPL season, bought him for 1.1 crore Indian rupees, making him the youngest player ever to be purchased by any IPL team.
On the other hand, India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant was the most expensive player, sold for 27 crore rupees to Lucknow Super Giants. Former Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer was bought by Punjab Kings for 26.75 crore rupees. The IPL 2025 will be the 18th edition of the tournament, set to take place between March and May next year.
